Dear Epsom & Ewell Mayor George Crawford & All CRA Management Committee,

I wish to convey my congratulations to you all for once again putting together a most enjoyable 'Big Day Out' yesterday.

Though the weather was not so good it was wonderful to see so many folks support BDO.

There were many exciting stalls highlighted by the 'Dog Show', and the lovely dancers and not forgetting our Singing, Swinging Mayor George who provided live entertainment with his banjo playing and singing. (The only Mayor I know who is an all-rounder with his musical skills from playing the guitar, banjo & ukelele together with his lovely voice, and if I may add to this, a Mayor loved by everyone).

P.S. A Special 'Thank You' Denzyl for kindly supporting BDO with his guitar playing and singing with team mate Benny from 'Velvet Touch' trio . Sorry our Lead singer Lisette was not able to join us.

Dear Jackie Hately thank you for all the extra support you gave Denzyl & myself with the electricity from your home and all the protective covers you gave us which certainly protected our musical instruments to include the ground water proof covers. Your all-round support greatly appreciated.

Please find attached some photographs taken at random during my free time, and to add to my small collection, very special thanks to Philip Watson for kindly allowing me to add his photo collection where Philip certainly captured most of the activities. Please note the majority of the photos were by Philip.

Best regards
Benny De Souza

Our Mayor, George Crawford, will be opening the Big Day out this Saturday although his entrance may be a little unconventional .. Come meet him and lots of lovely people on Saturday, participate in the Fun Dog Show or simply sample some of the delicious homemade fair whilst listening to live music - there will be beer and Pimms! . Lots of fun to be had in Shadbolt Park from 12 to 4.30pm,  and entrance is free!

Benny

I have been slow in getting out all my thank yous but the lady who gave us the electricity and covers was Jackie Hately who is always first in the queue to help.

Thanks to both Denzil and yourself for keeping the music going in some difficult conditions and allowing us to use your equipment. As always I enjoyed singing to the accompaniment of professional musicians. It always makes me feel quite important. It is just great fun.

Philip is a great guy and Jackie's nephew. He never refuses help and one day we will get him to play in public as he is as you know, very good. He is also my First Aid guru.

Many thanks again for all your help and I will include my thanks to Jackie Hately and Denzil in this email.

Best wishes and my regards to Betty.

George
